Packaging

From forest to fine craftsmanship –
a journey of quality, care & commitment.

HOW WE WORK

Proper export packaging is essential to protect Indian Rosewood products during handling, storage, and international transportation.

Rosewood Slabs Packaging

  • Each slab is carefully inspected and moisture-checked before packing.
  • Slabs are wrapped with protective foam sheets, corrugated cardboard, or stretch film to prevent scratches and edge damage.
  • Corner protectors are applied to minimize impact during transit.
  • Multiple slabs are stacked with wooden spacers (stickers) between layers for ventilation and stability.
  • The stack is securely strapped using heavy-duty steel or polyester straps.
  • Packed in fumigated wooden crates or export-grade wooden pallets compliant with ISPM-15 standards.
  • Waterproof covers or shrink wrapping are used for ocean shipments.

Rosewood Cookies Packaging

  • Individual cookies are wrapped in bubble wrap, foam sheets, or protective paper.
  • Packed in sturdy corrugated cartons with cushioning materials to prevent cracking.
  • Larger cookies are palletized and secured with stretch film.
  • Fragile handling labels are applied where necessary.
  • Moisture-resistant packaging is used to maintain product quality during transit.

Rosewood Logs Packaging

  • Logs are bundled according to size and diameter specifications.
  • Heavy-duty steel straps or wire ropes secure log bundles.
  • End surfaces may be coated with wax or sealant to reduce moisture loss and cracking.
  • Logs are loaded onto treated wooden skids or directly into containers using proper securing methods.
  • Dunnage and blocking materials are used inside containers to prevent movement during shipping.
  • Containers are inspected to ensure they are dry, clean, and suitable for timber exports.

Export Marking & Labeling

Each package is clearly marked with:
  • Product Name
  • Species Name (Indian Rosewood / Dalbergia latifolia)
  • Dimensions and Quantity
  • Gross & Net Weight
  • Country of Origin: India
  • Consignee Details
  • Package Number
  • Handling Instruction

Container Loading & Shipping

  • Products are loaded into 20ft or 40ft export containers depending on shipment volume.
  • Moisture absorbers/desiccants are placed inside containers to prevent condensation.
  • Cargo is secured to avoid shifting during sea or air transportation.
  • Photographic documentation of packaging and loading is maintained for quality assurance.
